New York, New York - October 30, 2026 - PRESSADVANTAGE - Following two federal product recalls announced on September 17, 2026, Playroom Architect is highlighting an often overlooked distinction for parents building Montessori-inspired play spaces: an educational label is not the same as verified product-safety compliance.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that approximately 276,000 Esjay Montessori-labeled toddler busy boards sold on Amazon between March 2023 and July 2026 were recalled after small red knobs were found capable of detaching, violating the federal small-parts ban for products intended for children under three.

A separate recall issued the same day involved approximately 644 Montessori-labeled teething toys distributed by SHEIN, citing a hazard associated with silicone strings.
