FORT HOOD, Texas (KWTX) - The family of one of two Fort Hood soldiers killed in an Apache helicopter crash near Salado is sharing more about the man behind the uniform.

Chief Warrant Officer Two Deontre Huey was killed last week while conducting a maintenance test flight.

Huey's sister, Chassidy, told KWTX her brother "was so much more than his rank and his uniform. To us, he was family. He was extremely funny, incredibly creative, and simply unforgettable."Family remembers the moments he createdChassidy said Huey had a way of making people laugh and turning ordinary moments into memories."Anytime you were around him, somehow, a memory was created," she said.
