SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - Every parent wants their child to feel good in what they wear, but for families navigating sensory sensitivities or medical equipment, the wrong fabric or stubborn buttons can make getting dressed and out the door a challenge.

Sherman couple Kamron and Stephanie Brooks are giving away adaptive clothing are giving away adaptive clothing from their former business 'The Charlotte Letter,' supplying apparel designed with several disabilities in mind."Originally we started designing clothing based off of one instance with our daughter who was epileptic who had a grand seizure and needed rescue meds, her clothing was in the way," said Stephanie.

Saturday's adaptive apparel giveaway, which will be held from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Post Oak Fellowship Activity Center, isn't just a way to clean house:"These clothes were designed for kids with medical needs such as feeding tubes, traches, diapering needs, so they're designed to be accessible without having to get the kid undressed," Stephanie said.
