A woman was shot by police Monday afternoon in Times Square, according to the New York Police Department.

A woman who "appeared to be emotionally disturbed" had two knives and was threatening people in the area of Seventh Avenue and West 42nd, local news outlet WABC reported.

At least two people were stabbed, NBC New York reported, though their conditions were unknown.
