FORT STOCKTON, Texas (KOSA) - A ninth-grade student experienced a medical issue Wednesday afternoon during offseason athletic conditioning at Fort Stockton High School.

According to the Fort Stockton ISD, coaches and athletic trainers immediately responded, provided care and stayed with the student while emergency medical services were contacted, the district said.

The student is receiving appropriate medical care and is doing better, according to the district.
