During Monday night's meeting, the Bangs City Council by unanimous vote approved the 2026-27 fiscal year budget and tax rate.

Council members Eric Bishop, Danny Marney and Greg Flores all voted in favor, as did Mayor Pro Tem Carrol Wells.

The 2026-27 budget will feature requested revenues of $1,390,929, an increase of 3. 19% from the 2025-26 fiscal year, while requested expenses are $1,206,352, a decrease of 17. 73% from the current fiscal year.
