The Fredericksburg High School Boys varsity cross country team placed sixth out of 14 teams with a total of 169 points at the Liberty Hill Friday Night Lights Meet at Legacy Ranch High School last Friday.

"We had a good first race of the season, and the first high school race for a few of us," FHS Boys Cross Country Coach Jason Roemer said.

"They learned a lot about pacing as some of us let the adrenaline get to us and we went really fast, then struggled to finish and few of us were so nervous we started slow, got boxed in packs and had a lot of fuel in the tank at the end.
