WACO, Texas (KWTX) - A 40-year-old man was booked into the McLennan County Jail after he overpowered and assaulted a Waco police officer, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Aaron Crane, 20, faces charges of assault on a peace officer and evading arrest or detention in the Sept. 13 incident downtown.

Aaron Crane(KWTX GRAPHIC)According to the affidavit, Waco police officers were dispatched around 5:49 p.m. to the 500 block of Franklin Avenue for a suspicious person call.
