A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized after a shooting on the East Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Just after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the 500 block of South Monumental Street, near Martin Luther King Drive.

Upon arrival, police said they found the teen with an apparent gunshot wound to his upper body.
