HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Investigators with the Houston Police Department say a man was shot and killed near a bus stop in The Heights area overnight.

The Houston Fire Department responded to the scene on Cavalcade and Northwood at 2:30 a.m. and declared the man dead at the scene, the department said.

According to HPD, a witness said a car pulled up to the bus stop, and someone got out and shot the victim multiple times before leaving the area.
