KENDALL COUNTY, Texas - A report of gunshots near a Boerne elementary school on Friday afternoon prompted a temporary lockdown.

However, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office said the shots came from hunters.

The sheriff's office said people were hunting dove at neighboring properties near Herff Elementary School around the time the shots were heard.
