(KGNS) - The Laredo Animal Protective Society (LAPS) is looking for a forever home for Kona, a 4-month-old pit bull mix.

Sofi Juarez with LAPS said Kona is already vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, dewormed, and on flea and tick preventative."She definitely knows when she needs to relax, and then she knows when it's playtime," Sofi Juarez of LAPS said.

"She's four months, so she's still gonna grow pretty big since she's a pit bull mix. ... But she's so sweet. She's definitely really well behaved."Foster and volunteer opportunitiesBeyond adoptions, LAPS is urging residents to serve as temporary foster caregivers as shelter space tightens.
