The sales tax allocations for the month of August were higher than one year ago, in August 2025, for Brownwood, Bangs, and Early, according to data released by the Texas Comptroller's Office.

The sales tax allocations in August reflect taxable retail sales in June.

All three cities received a nice increase, with a double-digit increase in both Early and Bangs.
