Walnut Springs Elementary students sat at long tables in the cafeteria on Friday, grouped into color-coded houses and cheering as their peers took to the stage to share a lesson on leadership.

The Dragon's Dominion leadership initiative began at WSE last school year.

Third, fourth and fifth graders are sorted into houses, which each have an accompanying virtue that the students work to spread around the school, said Principal Leigh Anne Bailey.
