ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Diamondback Energy hosted its 8th annual Honor & Serve Luncheon, celebrating Permian Basin first responders.

Employees served food and held a raffle for emergency personnel at the event.

Director of Corporate Safety Carey Matthews spoke on the importance of appreciating crisis responders and considering the hardships they face."Take a moment, stop and think about our first responders, what they go through ... the things that they have to do, what it takes to be able to run into danger and not run away from danger," Matthews said.
