The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country announced that temporary housing assistance is now available to flood-affected households in Kerr County and Comfort as the region continues to recover from the July 16, 2026, flood.

The Temporary Housing Assistance Program will provide up to three months of assistance for eligible households through a $967,575 grant from the Community Foundation.

First Presbyterian Church of Kerrville, which has administered temporary housing assistance in partnership with the Foundation since the July 4, 2025, flood, will administer the program.
