T he Butt-Holdsworth Memorial Library will host Water Wise Kerr County: A Community Learning Series, a monthly reading and discussion series developed and led by the Kerr County Water Alliance focusing on Kerr County's water future.

The first session will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, from 4:15 to 5:45 p.m. in the library's First Floor Meeting Room.

Participants will read "The Big Thirst: The Secret Life and Turbulent Future of Water" by Charles Fishman, using each chapter as a starting point for practical conversations about water, its role in daily life and its importance to the Kerr County community.
