District Attorney Micheal Murray reported that on September 14, 2026, David Beene was sentenced by District Court Judge Mike Smith to life in prison for Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child.

Judge Smith also sentenced Beene to 20 years in prison (the maximum sentence allowed by law) on five additional counts related to charges for Sexual Assault and Indecency with a Child.

During a jury trial held on August 17th-21st, the jury heard evidence of Beene's actions over the course of years towards the victim.
