GALVESTON, Texas - A red tide bloom near Crystal Beach is prompting Galveston County health officials to urge beachgoers to pay close attention to how they feel - and to be ready to move if something seems off.

The bloom's reach is still being assessed, with the Galveston County Health District also investigating reports of possible red tide activity on Galveston Island.

The red tide didn't stop people from showing up to the beach though.
