PALESTINE, Texas (KTRE) - The 16th annual Paint Palestine Pink event returns Saturday to bring the community together for races and family festivities to fund vital diagnostic cancer screenings for East Texans.

Organizers host three separate races - a 10. 5-mile run, a 5K, and a one-mile fun run - beginning outside Texas Oncology at 3415 South Loop 256.

Registration opens at 6:30 a.m., with staggered starts beginning at 7:30 a.m."Our monies go for those that are underinsured or non-insured in Anderson County and the immediate surrounding areas," said co-organizer Jerry Lee Peoples.
