Mercedes Fire Chief appointed as interim City Manager
Fire Chief Javier Campos Jr. has been appointed as Interim City Manager of Mercedes, Texas, following the resignation of previous manager Alberto Perez.

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) - The City of Mercedes has appointed Fire Chief Javier Campos Jr. as Interim City Manager.
The appointment follows the resignation of manager Alberto Perez, who stepped down on Aug. 14.
According to the city of Mercedes, Campos has built his career in emergency services, public safety, public service, and leadership.
