"America the Beautiful" rang throughout the Main Plaza in downtown New Braunfels on Saturday as community members gathered for a Unity Rally in recognition of a shared humanity and love for all neighbors.

After singing and hearing from various speakers, the rally attendees held up signs as drivers passed through the circle with phrases such as "Hate Never Made Our Country Great," "Don't Deport American Citizens" and "Hate Has No Home Here." Indivisible Hill Country and Soprano Big Sister organized the Unity Rally in response to the Comal County Young Republicans' recent meeting at Five Stones Artisan Brewery in New Braunfels.

CCYR heard a presentation from Cyan Quinn with the White Papers Policy Institute, which crafts policy alternatives that "promote the collective interests of Western peoples who seek self-determination" as well as promotes policy alternatives "that allow each ethnic group to flourish in their own nation," according to WPPI's website.
