CONROE, Texas - Two Conroe city council members say they have recently received threats and harassment following the council's August 13 vote against putting a proposed Flock Safety camera measure on the November ballot.
Council Member Ken Blevins and Mayor Pro Tem John Sellars both said they have no problem with residents disagreeing with their decision, or even pursuing a recall, but said threats against elected officials and their families have crossed a line.
The statements come as the debate over Conroe's Flock Safety automated license plate reader cameras continues to divide residents and City Hall.
