Houston area families struggling to keep up with household costs may be able to get help with food, utility bills and other basic needs through BakerRipley and other community programs.

BakerRipley offers utility assistance to eligible residents in Harris, Brazoria and Galveston counties.

The program can help with electricity and gas bills, with applications opening every two months.
