KPD says the man who was shot is accused of brandishing a knife after going to the home to confront the resident over an alleged debt.

KERRVILLE - A 39-year-old Kerrville man is in critical condition after he was shot Thursday morning at a residence in the 100 block of West McFarland Street, and police say the 47-year-old resident who shot him appears to have acted in self-defense.

Kerrville Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting at the residence at about 8:03 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, according to a KPD press release.
