Charlotte ISD returned to normal operations Monday, Sept. 28, after a threat prompted increased local law enforcement presence and safety precautions across the district.

According to information provided by the district, the Atascosa County Sheriff's Office contacted Charlotte ISD early Monday after the FBI received a threat concerning the district through a tip line.

After being notified, Charlotte ISD implemented its required safety protocols and alerted staff and families.
