(KGNS) - A 31-year-old man faces 12 charges after police say he attacked a woman with a baseball bat, stole a car and fought with officers during a series of incidents on Corpus Christi Street.

Police said the violence began when Luis Castillo broke into a house on the street and struck a woman with a baseball bat.

Investigators said Castillo then walked up to a nearby parked car, pulled a woman from the driver's seat, threw her to the ground and drove off in the vehicle.
