Center Point High School students reopened their Pirate Bistro for the fall semester, marking the beginning of another year of showcasing skills learned in the advanced culinary program.

On Friday, Sept. 18, the Pirate Bistro welcomed community members with reservations to either dine in or carry out meals made by Center Point students, but most preparations for the big opening day began at the beginning of the week.

"We started with knife skills on Monday. Tuesday we learned how to cut cabbage and how to make the coleslaw sauce, because it's better if it sits for a few days," said Kimberly Young, instructor of the advanced culinary courses at Center Point High School.
