TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Libertarian candidate Ted Brown is mounting another bid for the U.S. Senate in Texas, positioning himself as an independent alternative in a contentious race against Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico.

Brown, who secured a record 267,000 votes in his 2024 Senate run, is pitching a strictly limited-government platform centered on individual liberty, free trade and dramatic spending cuts to tackle the $40 trillion national debt.

His proposals include abolishing the federal income tax, dismantling the IRS and Department of Education, establishing an Ellis Island-style legal immigration system and withdrawing the U.S. from foreign conflicts and alliances like NATO."My goal is to, of course, win the election," Brown told East Texas Now.
