HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- We are 36 days from Election Day, and something is missing from the top-of-the-ballot campaigns: none of them have debated one another.

It's not unheard of for candidates to decline debates.

But it's rare in modern Texas politics to have no debates for the U.S. Senate, governor, and lieutenant governor, especially given that some of the current candidates have debated in the past.
