(KGNS) - A special prosecutor has been appointed to handle a civil removal case against a Webb County commissioner filed by former Laredo Councilman Alfonso Casso.

Administrative Judge Sid Harle appointed Medina County District Attorney Mark Haby as special prosecutor on July 22 to represent the public interest in the case against Precinct 3 Commissioner John Galo.
