BELLMEAD, Texas (KWTX) - A Bellmead mother was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say she left two infants inside a running vehicle in 98-degree heat while she went inside an HEB grocery store to exchange coins for cash.
Jesi Denman was booked into the McLennan County Jail and faces charges of abandoning or endangering a child with intent to return.

IH-35 Access Road at approximately 1:46 p.m. on August 4, 2026. Store employees directed the officer to a red Jeep parked in Row D. Upon arrival, Cummings observed two infants buckled into car seats in the back of the vehicle.
