(KGNS) - Laredo city leaders are formally urging the federal government to unfreeze Medicaid money for Texas hospitals.

City Council passed a resolution on Sept. 8 calling on the Trump administration to release the funds.

The money includes payments from the Comprehensive Hospital Increase Reimbursement Program, known as CHIRP.
