ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - Democratic nominee for Texas Lieutenant Governor Vikki Goodwin brought her campaign trail to the Permian Basin Tuesday evening, hosting a town hall focused on the preservation and protection of Texas' water resources.
The event, held at VFW Post 6717, drew a crowd of local residents eager to discuss community concerns, particularly the rising footprint of data centers in the region and their heavy demand on utility infrastructure.
Balancing industrial growth and local resourcesA central theme of the town hall was the massive volume of water required to operate modern data centers, which are increasingly being developed across West Texas.
