Jaguar Land Rover is recalling nearly 94,000 vehicles in the United States because a defect could cause the rearview camera image to fail to appear on the display screen, federal safety regulators said Friday.

What we know: The recall affects 93,997 vehicles, including certain 2022-2026 Land Rover Range Rover models, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Dig deeper: NHTSA said insufficient drain holes in the rearview camera housing may allow water to become trapped, potentially damaging the camera and preventing the image from displaying when the vehicle is placed in reverse.
