BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - In an unorthodox move, Bryan city leaders released a legal opinion normally kept confidential between a city and its attorney, warning residents that a "yes" vote on removing the Texas Avenue medians next month would not guarantee their removal.
After 3 years of median battles the city sought outside opinion.(KBTX)"Transparency is everything with the city of Bryan," said Nicole Lamb, with the city's Strategic Communications department.
"We want you to know firsthand what's going on, and you guys can read it for yourself."The City Council waived attorney-client privilege during Tuesday's executive session and voted to make the memo public, just weeks before early voting begins on the charter amendment, which could remove medians on Texas Avenue between Rosemary Drive and State Highway 21.
