COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - New court documents filed this week show how both sides want a jury to decide the federal lawsuit over a deadly 2023 College Station police search warrant, as the case moves closer to trial.
Attorneys for the family of Mark Hopkins and the City of College Station filed two key documents Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas: a proposed jury charge and special verdict form, and an updated list of trial exhibits.
Hopkins, a 22-year-old Blinn College student, was shot and killed by College Station police in February 2023 while officers executed a search warrant at his home on Spring Loop.
