SUGAR LAND, Texas (KTRK) -- Family confirms an 18-year-old man was killed Friday afternoon after being shot near a Sugar Land park.

Surveillance video shows Hiam Reyes slowly driving his blue Infiniti down several streets near Covington West Park before neighbors say he hopped a curb and crashed through a fence at the corner of Greenway and Mason.

"It just makes me so mad because I don't understand why they would do this to him, to his family, to his friends, to anybody that loved him," Reyes' girlfriend, Makaila Tran, said.
