'Serious incident' between staff member, student puts Hastings HS into 'secure mode': Alief ISD

A serious incident between a staff member and student at Hastings High School in the Alief ISD prompted emergency responders to respond and the school to enter secure mode.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Parents at Alief ISD's Hastings High School received a troubling letter from principal Dr. William Price on Monday morning about a 'serious incident'.

The district said an incident involving a staff member and a student ended with emergency responders on campus, but now the district isn't answering questions.

ABC13 reporter Lileana Pearson went to Hastings High School to find out what happened.
