With a unanimous vote, Kerr County Commissioners' Court took a major step forward Monday to purchase the former Kerrville Police Department/Kerrville Bus Company building at 429 Sidney Baker.

The court authorized County Judge Rob Kelly to sign a purchase and sales agreement and put up escrow money to buy the building to replace the 16,000 square feet of office space in the courthouse lost to the July 16 flood.

The single item on the agenda drew only one person from the public to comment on the issue.
