MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - The City of Midland has begun construction on the Mockingbird Lane Extension Project, a roadway improvement designed to increase capacity and improve connectivity.

According to the City of Midland, the project will extend Mockingbird Lane from Fairgrounds Road to Purtis Creek Drive as a five-lane arterial roadway, creating more travel capacity while improving access for residents, businesses and future development.

Construction includes new roadway paving, sidewalk improvements and drainage upgrades.
