Just days after he resigned, former Fredericksburg Assistant Finance Director Tyler Hooper was arrested on Sept. 17 by the Fredericksburg Police Department on a charge of fraudulent use or possession of identifying information involving 50 or more items, which is a first-degree felony.

According to jail records, Hooper was booked into the Gillespie County Jail on Sept. 17.

The city of Fredericksburg confirmed that Hooper had resigned from his position Sept. 9, eight days before his arrest.
