The county will be taking on its own debris clean-up without the help of an outside contractor.

At a special meeting at 10 a.m. on August 3, county commissioners picked up discussions on a preliminary clean-up plan after tabling an original vote at a July 27 meeting.

Commissioners awaited an update from city officials on the status of a temporary alternative site for landfill space before they could decide on the use of a contractor.
