CHEROKEE COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - A three-year-old boy has been injured after finding and firing a gun in his parent's car outside of a Cherokee County home.

Deputies responded to the home on FM 343 around 11:40 a.m. Thursday, according to Cherokee County Sheriff Brent Dickson.

There, they were told the child entered an unlocked vehicle and found a gun.
