WASHINGTON COUNTY, Texas - A man mowing a property near Brenham in Washington County was airlifted to a hospital Wednesday after he was attacked by a swarm of bees.

The incident happened on FM 50 near Westerfeld Road, which is north of Brenham.

The Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department says the man was mowing along his fence when he was attacked by the bees and stung multiple times.
