HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) -- The showers in the Thursday forecast stayed mostly offshore, as the atmosphere across the Valley remained relatively dry due to lingering Saharan dust and pockets of dry air.

A similar setup is expected on Friday, with rain chances remaining at just 20%.

Any showers that develop will be isolated and scattered.
