HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Harris County commissioners approved a $1. 4 million fund for 24/7 ankle-monitoring services, according to Adrian Garcia's press secretary, Scott Spiegel.

On Thursday, the approved budget item was in light of a high-profile murder months after authorities say Houston man Lee Gilley, accused of killing his pregnant wife, cut off his ankle monitor and fled the country weeks before his trial.
