The Brownwood Lions and Lady Lions fought off a Stephenville charge Thursday for an 11-8 road victory, their fourth consecutive in District 6-4A team tennis action.

In a match resumed after being postponed last Thursday due to weather, the Lions won eight of their nine matches, while the Lady Lions tacked on a doubles and two singles triumphs.

The Lions captured all three doubles matches with victories claimed by No. 1 Blake Hutchins and Aiden Oplotnik (6-2, 6-0 over Kyler Virgin and Rydon Andrew), No. 2 Cooper Morgan and Ian Cervantes (6-3, 6-3 over Uriel Perez and Eroc Mendoza), and No. 3 Duncan Dennison and Parker Dennison (6-0, 6-3 over James Edwards and Joel Mangus).
