TRINIDAD, Texas (KLTV) - Following the state-ordered shutdown of the Trinidad Police Department, city leaders have officially decided against taking the state to court and voted to terminate the department's remaining officers.
The Trinidad City Council met Friday morning to discuss potential litigation against the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement, the council voted 3-1, with one abstention, not to file an appeal.
Following that decision, council members voted unanimously to terminate the department's police officers.
