FINNEYTOWN, Ohio (WXIX/Gray News) - Students at a school in Ohio took matters into their own hands to demand cooler conditions after their classrooms hit more than 90 degrees.

Upperclassmen walked out of Finneytown Secondary Campus Thursday in protest of the sweltering classrooms."We don't want to have to push the limits of the school district, the board, or the superintendent. Especially, we want him to know that if we have a real big snow day, We have a real big heat day, we gotta go home, we gotta get a short day or something like that," Andrew Nelsen, a senior, said.

Nelsen said he was done sitting in the sweat Thursday when classroom temperatures hit 91 degrees."Me and the kids that were doing the announcements, we were like, we're going to say something today and we'll probably do a walkout," he said.
